Events

School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.

Smoking Ceremony and Badge Induction

Time: 12:30pm - 1:30pm

Parents and carers were warmly invited to join us as we began the new school year with a Smoking Ceremony led by Uncle Frank, followed by the badge induction for our 2025 student leaders.

Harmony Day

Harmony Day is a celebration of our cultural diversity - a day of cultural respect for everyone who calls Australia home. At Banora Point Public School, we enjoy recognising the many cultures represented at our school and beyond, celebrating diversity, fostering inclusiveness, respect and connection.

Mother's Day High Tea

Time: 2:00pm - 3:00pm

At Banora Point Public School, we hosted a Mother’s Day High Tea to celebrate and honour all the special women in our community. It was a lovely event filled with delicious treats, heartfelt moments, and joyful connections.

Banora Bazaar

Date: 14 August

Time: 9:00am - 11:00am

The Banora Bazaar is a fantastic celebration of creativity, teamwork, and community spirit at our school. Our Stage 3 students dedicate their energy and enthusiasm to designing, creating, and managing their own stalls to raise funds for the Year 6 Farewell.

Book Week

Date: 18 August

Book Week is a special time at our school where we celebrate a love of reading. Students take part in fun activities throughout the week.

Mad Scientist Day

Date: 13 August

Time: 9:00am - 11:00am

Mad Scientist Day is a fun part of National Science Week at Banora Point Public School where students get to explore and learn about science through hands-on activities. Many students also dress up as famous scientists, making the day even more exciting and inspiring them to ask questions and discover new things.

Father's Day Breakfast

Date: 5 September

Time: 8:00am - 9:00am

At Banora Point Public School, we celebrated Fathers’ Day with a special breakfast for all the important father figures. After enjoying the meal, families joined in fun activities on the oval, including kicking a football and being active together.

Colour Fun Run

Date: 5 September

Time: 2:00pm - 3:00pm

Banora Point Public School recently held a Colour Fun Run where students enjoyed running through colourful powder in a fun and active way. It was a great event that encouraged fitness and brought lots of smiles and laughter to everyone involved.

Stage 3 Camp to Tangalooma

Dates: 29 October - 31 October

Our Stage 3 camp to Tangalooma was truly a camp to remember! Students enjoyed an unforgettable adventure filled with snorkelling, kayaking, and the amazing experience of feeding dolphins. They explored the great outdoors, played touch football on the beach, and shared lots of laughter and fun with their friends. This special trip not only sparked their sense of adventure but also created wonderful memories and strengthened friendships that will last a lifetime.
